but, she has too many little kids....been there, done that). I can help everyone pick fabrics, colors, etc...for their homes but when it comes to mine (it's just like that old saying "I'm the cobbler who's children have no shoes) I just keep longing for Mr. Faudree to come and pay me a surprise visit. Not that I would have the budget that his expertise commands, but if he could just pop his head in and say "Good God girl.....what were you thinking when you did this!" and then lead me in the right direction I would be the "happiest" woman on earth. I bring this to your attention because over the weekend I started on a small project that has sooooooo been on the "honey-do" list, long before the "honey-do" list got accelerated to the get it done NOW list because of the approaching wedding. I have this tiny powder room off the back family room that has been an area of contention for me for quite some time, I kept putting this off because I wanted the "perfect" antique piece to use as a vanity......well the piece has been located and now I am in the "overdrive" mode to get things done. I have seen
this room many times in Mr. Faudree's books.....it's red and cream toile papered walls with a beautiful black antique vanity that has the perfect mirror above it and to the sides are sconces that drip with crystals, it would so scream French Country that when anyone goes into the small room, they are transported to a small village in the South of France....it's all so .....well....perfect!Back to reality.....I am so done with the sunflowers.....the green rag rolled walls from the 80's.....yes, you read that right, the 80's.....I want it done now! So I told FOB not to be surprised if he came home today to the power room completely torn up.....I have the vanity and I am ready to roll the sleeves up and begin the remodel.....it's on!!!! But, should anyone hear that Charles Faudree is in the Dallas area....this can all come to a screeching halt immediately.....I can wait...the wedding isn't until summer of 2011.....we can do without the powder room for a few months!
